The registration counter is located next to the lift and on the right side of the main entrance. After office hours, all registration procedures can be done at the Accident & Emergency Unit counter, located on the left side of the main entrance.

Documents Required for Ward Admission

1. Identity Card / Passport / MyKid

2. Letter of Guarantee (GL) / Insurance Card (if applicable)

Note: Patients must ensure that their insurance provider is an approved panel of Hospital Islam Az-Zahrah before ward admission is confirmed.

1. For Maternity Cases :

    a. Baby clothing set for discharge (if applicable)

    b. Patient’s clothing set for discharge

    c. Socks

    d. Warm clothing

2. Ongoing Medications

1. We only accept cash, debit card, and credit card payments for patients without a Guarantee Letter (GL).

2. Upon ward admission, the following deposit is required:

    a. Medical cases: RM 1,000

    b. Surgical cases: 50% of estimated cost

    c. Insurance/MCO cases: RM 300 (after office hours)

Cash deposit of RM 300 will be considered part of the final bill upon discharge.

3. Waiting time for ward admission under insurance cases is approximately 1 to 3 hours after the Guarantee Letter (GL) is faxed to the respective company

  1. Cash-paying patients: billing process takes approximately 1 hour.

  2. Insurance-covered patients: billing and insurance verification take approximately 3 hours, depending on insurance procedures.

If you wish to be discharged before insurance approval, a RM 300 deposit is required as security. Patients will be informed once the final bill is ready and will be given 2 hours to complete the discharge process. Otherwise, charges of half the room rate will apply for the first 6 hours, and full room charges thereafter.

1. Ward deposit refunds can only be processed during office hours.

Refunds exceeding RM 500 will be processed within 14 working days.

The hospital only provides meals and beverages for patients.

The hospital also provides guidance on performing tayammum, praying while sitting or lying down, and other forms of worship according to the patient’s condition when necessary.

Hospital Islam Az-Zahrah is a strictly non-smoking area.

Parking facilities are under the supervision of Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKJ). Parking charges are RM 0.50 per hour (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
